Something Old, Something New…
Built in 1946, Copper Basin Events began as a church that catered to the community of McCaysville, Georgia for many years. The Copper Basin is a place of harmony, where the Ocoee and Toccoa rivers merge into one along the Georgia-Tennessee state line. A historic steel bridge spans the waters, uniting two sides into a single community—much like marriage unites two lives into one shared journey.
With this history in mind, our family purchased the inactive church in 2023 and set out to create a top-of-the-line event venue that honored the history of the church and its community.
Copper Basin Events caters to couples who want their wedding venue to be a reflection of their love story: Something old, something new, and something uniquely their own.
